AcroPro.msi missing

Issue: can't print PDF anymore

Have: Adobe Reader XI (11.0.10) and Adobe Acrobat X Pro

All of a sudden I can't print to pdf any more. Print pdf is not any more an option in my printer pull down menu.  I thought repairing my Acrobat Pro might help but when I tried it keeps stopping during the repair because it says it can't find AcroPro.msi and error 1706. I tried repairing my reader too (which it did re-install) but that did not fix my problem.

How do I get pdf option in my printer back?

Thanks everyone for your help... And Happy New Year 🙂

You might try downloading the install file from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. If that does the job, then please backup the file for future needs (to CD or backup HD).

When I start my laptop, it will have this missing file error and ask for alternatve path to file.

I redirect path to AcroPro set up file and it was resolved.

Hope it helps.
