I just started using Acrobat Pro DC. What are the steps to add the Chalkduster and Frutiger fonts to my font list?

Install them on your computer. If their permissions allow for it you would be able to use them in Acrobat for adding text or for form fields.

Good question. How many font lists does Acrobat have? The only one I know about so far is the one that shows up when I click the down arrow in the FORMAT box.

Acrobat uses what the OS offers. No more. no less...

Not quite. Acrobat does have a private font directory (Windows) or resources (MacOS) where it stores fonts used for substitutions.

Thanks for the precision.

I did notice that there were a number of fonts in the list I was getting from Acrobat that don't appear in the Windows list of available fonts. For example, Acrobat has Courier New and Courier Std and the Windows list only shows Courier New. When I installed Chalkduster, it showed up in both lists.

And that is exactly one of the font families that Acrobat has shtupped away in its own private font directory for use as monospace substitutes, primarily for the original Adobe Type 1 Courier font family.

A new Adobe Acrobat Pro DC user!!
Have installed the software program containing the special fonts. Fonts listed in C:\/Windows/Fonts folder. Acrobat ProDC is unable to process these fonts when resaving an edited PDF-A file to PDF-X format.

i have a specific issue with Quicksand. It works on my computer, won't print to Adobe. None of my colleagues have this issue, so clearly an acceptable font. Any ideas why this wont print?
