Adding more files to a pdf and Updating Footer

Hi guys,

Having trouble with footers. My pdf is a compilation of multiple files that have pre-existing footers. I am able to retain these footers when I add the overall page numbers in Adobe. The difficulty comes when I add extra pages and want to update the pages numbers. When I hit UPDATE, at this point it decides to erase all the pre-existing footers.

Any ideas?
