Adobe 8 now requires a new serial number and update app, in order to continue working. I followed Adobe instructions to the letter and now have been given a new serial number. However, no app was downloaded for me to install, and when I log into my Adobe account it says that the new serial number has already been registered, but the app doesn't show as available to download. So I'm at a loss what to do next. This whole procedure seems very clumsy and inefficient.

Further info on my problem. I have the new replacement serial number for my original Acrobat 8, and clicked on the URL to download the new updated installer, but I get an error message saying "unavailable for download. Frankly, I've about had it with Adobe products and their buggy, complicated, nightmarish instructions.
