Adobe Acrobat DC closing files on its own

My Adobe is once again closing files on it’s own after 1 minute. Looking at the space for sign in, it says that I am signed in, but the help dropdown does not show me signed in and will not let me sign in.

We thought we had it fixed, lasted 2 days, before breaking again. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, run the repair install at least twice. checked for updates...I am at a loss as to what to do next. Any ideas?

Hey!

so sorry to hear about the trouble caused. I see that you have uninstalled-reinstalled the application and run the repair. If that didn't fix the problem, then you may try this additional step:

  • Without opening any file, just open Acrobat Navigate to Acrobat>Edit (Windows) or Acrobat (Mac)>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected View", "Protected mode at startup" and "Enhanced Security">OK>Reboot Acrobat
  • Acrobat and Reader optional update (20.009.20065) is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates>reboot Acrobat.

Let us know if this makes any difference.

Thanks,

Akanchha
