Hello,
I tried to install Acrobat DC Standard on a Windows Server 2016 with RDS role installed. The installation worked, but every time I start the appliction, it closes immediately without any error message. In Windows Application Log I found some appcrash error messages.
So I want to ask if it is possible to get the Acrobat DC Standard work on Windows Server 2016. And if there is no way at the moment, is it planned to get it work in the future.
Thanks for reply

Hi,
Below is the update related to this concern, please go through it-
The Windows Server 2016 has not yet been QE’d for Acrobat/Reader in versions 11.x, DC – Classic, or DC – Continuous. It IS on the schedule to get tested but it has not yet been completed. We document what has been tested and is supported. If it is not listed in our documentation as being a supported platform then it is likely that it not a supported platform.
Base System Requirements are documented here: System requirements for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Acrobat Standard DC
Additional System Requirements, when new ones are available, are posted in the Release Notes:http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotes/index.html

Hi Marcelp72096467,
We apologize for the delay in response.
The application crash issue should have been resolved with the latest update.
have you tried installing the latest patch? Please check Help>Check for update
Please refer to the thread where similar issue has been addressed and resolved for the Acrobat Reader DC
Adobe Reader DC has errors and crashes with Windows Server 2012 R2 this might help you.

Hi Akki_24,
I had installed the latest update, but same issue occured. So the latest update did not solve the problem, at least not for Acrobat DC Standard(Classic) on WindowsServer 2016 with RDS-role installed. Without RDS-role Acrobat works fine. Threads about similar issue did not help, either.
Adobe Reader DC works with RDS-role installed. It seems that Acrobat crahes at that moment the registration(or login)-popupwindow gets started.
Regards
Marcel

I was able to get this to install and work on Server 2016 by downloading the Windows 10 offline installer. You can find that here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

I have the offline installer working also but would like to know if the full DC product complete with login is yet supported on this platform, please.
