Adobe Acrobat Pro DC causes Outlook to become unresponsive

I recently upgraded my Office 365 Suite from 32 to 64-bit.

Now whenever i try to send a PDF as an email attachment from within the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC using the "email" icon (envelope) it causes Outlook to become unresponsive. Sometimes the email is sent and then Outlook freezes, and sometimes the outbound email is not generated before Outlook freezes.
