I had an Adobe license and then got an "update" which installed the latest cloud version and wiped it.  I then purchased the Pro license and have now been able to do absolutely NOTHING on the software except spend nearly 8 hours investigating blogs and trying fixes.  I've installed and reinstalled until I am blue in the face.  And I'm super hacked off that I got to spend $200 for this fun.  Anyone else having this much fun?  I used to love this but this is a total POS.

Hi Blondie,

We are sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing. As described, you are unable to use the application after updating to the new version.

Please reboot the computer once and try again and see if that makes any difference.

Do you get any error message when you try to use the application? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.

Are you on a Mac or Windows machine and what is the version of the OS and the Acrobat Pro DC you are using? To check the version of the application, go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 20.12.20048 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates.

Please try to repair the installation (Windows Only) and see if that works. Go to Help > Repair Installation and reboot the computer.

You may also look at the steps provided in the help pages listed below:

For Windows: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html

For Mac: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-mac.html

If it still doesn't work, please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html , reboot the computer and reinstall the application using the link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
