You mean ACROBAT? Please update to the latest Acrobat version which no longer has flash dependencies.

Older PDF documents should open, however flash-based content will not work because Flash Player is EOL.

Thank you for the quick response and answers. While waiting I talked to a client who said he has Acrobat Reader DC so I downloaded it and it opened the Adobe Acrobat Pro Portfolio files that I created in the past.

I know that Adobe Acrobat Pro is no longer supported but what I liked about it was a one-time payment and can be stored with the pdf files on the desktop and not the cloud which we do not want to use the cloud.

Despite the name, Creative Cloud desktop apps are NOT cloud based. They install on your computer the same always. PDF files are stored wherever you tell Acrobat to store them -- primary HD, externals, cloud drives, etc... The only thing that changed is the payment & distribution model. And Acrobat is automatically updated as soon as a new version is available. No more waiting 18 months for the next release cycle.

You can convert your Flash-based Portfolios to non-Flash based files using this (paid-for) tool I've created:
Or you can open them using the latest version of Acrobat DC (or 2020) and then extract the attached files from them and create a new Portfolio.
