Adobe thinks I'm using free version but I've paid and downloaded.

I have paid for adobe but every time I try to edit it says I am using the free version, do I want to download the dc version. I then follow the instructions and it says I have already downloaded the dc version ( yes I know I have!!). I then get nowhere.

I am using an apple mac with big sur v11.2.1
