Auto insert bookmarks for colored paper?

Hi everyone!

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC online.

I scanned about 400 pages, separated by green "place mark" papers.  Can I have Adobe auto insert bookmarks when it recognizes a green piece of paper?  I have a plug in called Auto Bookmark as well...

Thanks, Sonja

It is possible when you create a plugin for Adobe Acrobat.

I don't see how you would do that in Acrobat. You would need to export the pages as images and then use an image processor to determine which one is "green" (not a simple task, either), and based on that add the bookmarks.

It might be possible with a custom-made standalone tool.

The Acrobat scripting model does not have access to graphics or colors in the page content. It can however find words. So if there is unique text on either the separator, or first/last page of a section, then that text could be use create bookmarks.

A plug-in has greater access to the content, but it would not be easy to detect a green page because in this case the background is a raster image.
