I'm looking for a solution that meets my company's requirements to enable end users to perform OCR on batches of PDF files with no need for a local software.
We'll need the following features:
- Accessible to all end users in the company through an easy interface (e.g. watched folder, drag and drop web interface...)
- Automatically performs OCR on all uploaded files, and returns PDF files enriched with recognized text (searchable and selectable), like Acrobat does
- Supports multiple languages, at minimum western languages including English, French, German, Italian and Spanish
- REST API allowing programmatic integration with an ECMS
- Preferably subscription-based software-as-a-service, compatible with ADFS single sign-on or IP range recognition.
I'm not overly hopeful any solution meets all these requirements, but I would appreciate any suggestion that meets at least some of them. My searches often point me to ABBYY recognition server, but I'm interested to see what else there is out there.
