Message: Update your OS or Browser while signing into Acrobat

Adobe products are designed for the latest operating systems and browsers. Learn how to keep your operating system and software up to date.

Understand the reason, why did you get a warning to update your operating system or browser:

Adobe products require the latest operating system and browser updates—both for your security and to ensure that Adobe products function as intended. If you are not using the latest operating system or browser, you may see a warning when you try to sign into Adobe software.

Picture1.png

If you see such a warning, ensure that you install the latest updates of the operating system you are using.

If you are a Windows user:

Starting August 2020, only Internet Explorer version 11 and later are supported for signing in. Adobe software uses Internet Explorer during the sign-in process. If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer, you need to move to the latest one before March 31, 2021. After this date, you will no longer be able to sign into your Adobe account, and will be redirected to this page.

Once you install the latest updates to your operating system, a supported version of Internet Explorer is automatically installed.

How to keep your operating system current?

Updated your browser or operating system but still see a warning or error?

If you see a warning even after you've updated the browser or operating system, ensure that you’re running the latest versions of your Adobe software. See the latest versions of Adobe apps available to download and install.

If you are running the latest Adobe software and still see issues, make sure that Internet Explorer 11 is not set to Compatibility Mode, Legacy Emulation Mode or a document mode prior to Internet Explorer 11. Learn more about Internet Explorer Document Modes.

If your organization isn’t able to turn off compatibility mode, you can create a per-product exception using the registry keys below. The example below will force Acrobat into Internet Explorer 11 mode; you can add additional keys for other Adobe products as needed.

Unable to print by PDF page size – latest update – Fix

Unable to print by PDF page size after updating Acrobat DC or Acrobat Reader DC to the latest version

On Windows only

Important Update:
We no longer need to use the below-mentioned workaround. This issue has been fixed with the optional update released on Feb 15, 2021: 20.001.20138 Reference URL

Note: If you already have used the below-mentioned workaround, please update your app to the latest version and enable the Protected Mode. It is highly recommended.

******************Below mentioned workaround is no longer required***************

While printing a PDF from Acrobat DC or Acrobat Reader DC, even though the Choose paper source by PDF page size option is selected in the Print dialog box, the document gets printed with the default page size.

Workaround:

Note: This is a temporary workaround. Adobe is working to fix the issue. We recommend enabling the Protected Mode after you have printed your documents for the security advantages it provides by sandboxing application processes.

  1. Disable the Protected Mode in Acrobat DC or Acrobat Reader DC
  2. In Acrobat DC or Acrobat Reader DC, go to Edit > Preferences.
  3. From the Categories on the left, select Security (Enhanced).

    Protected Mode.PNG

  4. Uncheck the option Enable Protected Mode at Startup, and then click OK.
  5. Quit Acrobat DC or Acrobat Reader DC.
  6. Relaunch Acrobat DC or Acrobat Reader DC. The Choose paper source by PDF page size option in the Print dialog should work as expected.

Acrobat compatibility with macOS Big Sur (version 11)

Acrobat DC, Acrobat 2020, Acrobat 2017, & Acrobat Reader DC are compatible with macOS Big Sur

(version 11). To know more about the compatibility, click here.

NoteWith the Big Sur 11.0.1 update, the drivers of a few printers have become incompatible. As a result, printers may stop working, and printing from any application may cause an unexpected error. We recommend users to download and install the latest printer driver from the printer manufacturer’s websites to resolve this problem.

We are working to ensure that our apps are natively compatible with Apple Silicon devices, but do not have a release date yet. Apple Silicon devices ships with Rosetta 2, an emulator that enables ARM Macs to run Intel-based apps. Acrobat and Acrobat Reader will work on Rosetta 2 until they are available natively.

Acrobat can be downloaded on macOS Big Sur through the direct download link  & from the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

Current known issues specific to macOS Big Sur:

  • Accessibility
Read Out Loud voice is not correct if used after disabling voice-over.
  • Annotations
The Add Stamp drop-down appears distorted.

  • Fill & Sign
The hover state on buttons on the Sign button in Fill & Sign app works in a reversed manner.
The signature or initial becomes invisible or shows continuous flicker when you place it on a PDF.
  • Viewer - UI
The keyboard navigation to navigate in tabs in the ADM dialog is not working using arrow keys.
Multiple lines appear in the rendering window when Acrobat is maximized from the Taskbar.
[Classic 2017] Acrobat/Acrobat Reader renders bad on changing the app theme.
