Blurry PDF Snapshots in Office 2010...?

Hello,

I'm an IT Support Administrator for a company and a user presented an issue to me after Office was upgraded from 2003 to 2010 on his computer.

He is using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional and Adobe Reader X. It's very common for him to take a snapshot of a PDF file and then copy it Outlook 2010 or Word 2010. Since the upgrade to 2010, whenever he takes a snapshot of a PDF and copies it into Outlook or Word, the overall image is blurry.

The PDF's consist of mostly text and everything in the snapshot is just blurry. Anybody have any idea why this is and if there is a patch or update out there (or in the future) that could resolve this issue?

I've included two screenshots below; one is a snapshot created from Adobe Reader X, the second is an image taken from Win7's Snipping Tool.

All input is welcome!

I just noticed this issue today. I have been taking snapshots on a weekly basis for reports with no issues previously. Something must have happened with an update, MS or Adobe, I have had updates for both in the last week.

Anyhow, changing the snapshot resolution did not work for me.

But after pasting the snapshot image from a PDF into a Word doc, I right clicked the image and chose to Edit Picture. Immediately without doing anything, the image became clear.

Strange, nothing like adding another step to what was a simple process.

Try "Paste Special/Bitmap".  Had same problem.  That seemed to work for me.
