Can a Word template file be converted to PDF?

This question seemingly remained unanswered (see, in this forum, Archives, "Can Microsoft Word templated be converted to Adobe Acrobat PDF?")

I created a Word template (.docx, or dotm...) in the Developer, with boxes etc.

Simply saved as a PDF, the file loses its functionality (boxes to clic, multi-choice answers, etc.).

Was anyone successfull in obtaining a full operational PDF - in this case, how?

Thanks.

The fields in a Word form will not be converted to fields in Acrobat and will need to be recreated with the Form tool in Acrobat.

Hi,

Jane's answer above is correct, although if the fields are created well in word, the creation wizard in Acrobat should spot most of them, removing some of the work of transforming it.
