I created a form in Adobe Acrobat DC using Prepare Form and sent them out. Most of them were filled in fine (by respondents using Acrobat Reader) but one user returned the form as a flat non-editable PDF with mistakes in her entries (spelling, grammar) that I need to fix. I reopened the pdf using Acrobat DC Prepare Form and all the fields are showing up fine. HOWEVER when I try to edit the text to make corrections I find that I can only delete her text; I cant add in any new text.
I've checked the properties and the fields are not locked or set to read only. The security settings allow editing. What the hell has happened?

Did you ever figure this out?
I have several fields that can be modified, but some that I can delete text but not type new text.

It looks like I had a 3 line textbox with a blank 4th line. I was not able to modify the 1st line.
Deleting the 4th line allowed me to edit the 1st line.
This does not make a lot of sense to me, but just posting what I found in case someone else has a similar issue.

Copying and pasting allowed me to add new text. Once I did that, I was able to type in new text as usual. Not sure why this resolved it, but it works now.
