Can you please tell me what this message means when I try to save an edited PDF, and what I need to do about it?

"The document could not be saved. A number is out of range."

Thank you.

Hi Lori,

As you get the error message "The document could not be saved. A number is out of range", please try once the steps provided in the following help document.

- Error: A number is out of range while viewing PDF or deleting pages from a PDF, Acrobat

Check if that helps.

Let us know how it goes.

It means the file is corrupt. You should report it to the people who created it and ask them to fix it.

Hm. Any idea how one would go about fixing it? This has happened twice in

the past day, once with a file I sent and the receiver couldn't save it,

and once with a PDF I received and edited, then couldn't save.

I haven't had an opportunity to try this yet, but I certainly will, and

I'll report result. Thanks!
