Somehow I have the Adobe Acrobat DC software. Must have downloaded when I upgraded to OS 11.2.3 Big Sur. The "save" icon is not highlighted and I cannot find anything to make it work. I really hate this whole new DC software. It's very difficult to get doc to open in the first place, then I can't save it.
When I open a file I use the menu File > Open. Do save a file with a new name you can use File > Save As...

The save button will be active after a modification of the document.

I tried. Highlighted an area and file allowed me to try. Then told me I had insufficient date. Did a work around by opening another finder window and dragged it into there from the download folder. Then was able to change the name. If you work with these software designers, please tell them to get rid of all this extra they have added. Opening a file is difficult, then trying to save it where you want (without any changes) is even more difficult. Do they have just a free adobe reader like they had before without all the bells and whistles? Thanks for responding.

I don't know how I missed that. Getting old is for the birds. Thank you for the info.
