Running Acrobat 8 standard on windows 10 for over a year with no problem. Suddenly no longer works, freezes. Adobe says to uninstall and install new version. I tried to uninstall, but the uninstaller never completed (appears to complete, but just does nothing at last step of uninstall). Trying to uninstall again says it is not installed, but when I try to install new version from Adobe, error says an installer is active and cant install. Acrobat apparently not completely uninstalled, but I can't figure out how to do that. Help....
Did you reboot after the failed uninstall?

That's not surprising. It's a very old version, and not compatible with Windows 10.
