Cannot add form field and cannot change form field name

When I work on with form fields, after new hours of adding / editing form fields, almost all the time, the document gets corrupted. I cannot add new field / edit field names. Previously Adobe Acrobat DC used to crash.

I am using the latest. Mac is all to date. Enough free ram, etc.

The properties of the file say it was created using Preview, which is extremely buggy and corrupts PDF forms just by opening them. Do not create your files in this application, and don't even open them in it. If you do, they will become corrupt.

Thanks for the tip. Will try using Adobe to convert later.

I wish Adobe DC would at least let me know if something corrupt so I don't need to waste hours working on it and loose the work.
