Cannot run 'recognize text' : "Low memory..."

My apologies if I'm directing this query to the wrong place.

*I have been trying to run the OCR in acrobat (something I've done many
times before with no problems), and keep getting the following error
message:*
*Acrobat could not replace the current page with the new recognized page
because of the following error:*
*This direct object already has a container*

*This could be due to either a low memory situation or low disk space.*

Once this error message appears, it scans the next page only for the error message to reappear. And I cannot stop the operation then without forcing out of Acrobat.

Low disk or memory could not possibly be the issue, since I've run this command before and have enough memory.
Thank you for your help or guidance!
