Cannot Save As, Cannot Extract, Edit/Add Text

I have three problems really.  I cannot use the "Save As" or Extract features.  Each have this error message:  An unexpected network error occurred.

And when I try to edit/add text to a pdf I get this error message:  This form cannot be edited in Adobe Acrobat DC.  Please use Adobe LiveCycle Designer to edit this form.

This has been going on for months and is very frustrating.  I was on the phone with Support for over an hour. Even with access to my computer they couldn't figure it out and told me they'd would call me back to fix it. That was 2 months ago.

This question was posted in the wrong forum, this is the Captivate forum. Adobe Captivate has no Extract feature at all. I have no idea about which application you are talking, if you tell me I can move your question to the appropriate forum.
