Ive tried now for three days to download Acrobat DC and it doesnt go further than 42% and it remains stuck. Its been such a waste of time, what can I do?

I would try a different browser, check anti-virus software for updates, and potentially reboot my router and modem.
You can also try the "direct download links" from this site: https://prodesigntools.com/acrobat-dc-2020-direct-download-links.html - you would still be downloading from Adobe's site, but without the download manager.
