Hi, i'm currently running into the same problem as described here:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/is-there-a-way-to-find-a-corrupt-page-in-a-pdf-using-adobe-ac...

im using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2021.001.201245, and am trying to print a document, but get the error:

"the document could not be printed"

followed by:

"an error occurred while printing the document"

I did manage to find what pages of my document trigger the error. However, i'm no trying to use preflight to find what the actual problem is, such that i can solve it. However, when i use the "Report PDF syntax issues" option. Preflight does not find any problems.

Could you help me out with this issue?
Thanks, Robbin

Run a report with the Accessibility Checker tool.

It will run a series of tests and report back with failed tests.

With this report you can then customize specific PDF Fixups profiles and test again with those.

Hi there

++ Adding to the discussion

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

Please try to print the PDF as image and see if that helps. Open the PDF > Print > Advanced > Print as Image.

If it still doesn't work, please try to reset the Acrobat preferences to default as described here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

Also, please check for any missing/pending updates for printer driver and firmware and try updating it and see if that makes any difference. If it still doesn't work, remove and reinstall the Printer driver from manufacturer website and check.

You may also look at the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html for more troubleshooting steps and see if that works for you.

Regards

Amal

Hi Amal,

Thank you for your contribution!

It is specifically with this one PDF file (of which I'm the author). I suspect that it has something to do with the figures that i have on those pages, possibily related to certain colors. However, these figures are also seperate pdf files, which have no problem printing. This is what confuses me greatly.

The print as an image works though, however it looks like it reduces the quality of the print somewhat. Most importantly, I really want to create a file that anyone can print, without having to check the box.

I've ruled out the printer as the problem, as even a 'software printer' (like the Adobe PDF print option). doesnt work.

regards, Robbin
