Hello,

Is it possible to change the Check Box Style to any character? For instance, when someone clicks on the check box it shows a "W" instead of a check or any of the other preset styles. I am hoping to change this for all my checkboxes in my fillable form.

Thanks for any help in advance

Hello,

 The checkbox style in Acrobat:

Checkbox element > Properties > Options > Checkbox Style. This allows you to select the style: check, circle, cross, diamond, square and star.

These are the default options in Acrobat for the checkbox and unfortunately nothing can change it.

Regards,

Mike

No, but you can use a button field for it. A simple script can change the button's text from "W" to nothing and back.

However, button fields don't have values, so if you plan on exporting the data, or using this selection for a calculation or something like that, that would be a problem.
