Changes made with accessibility checker aren't saving

Hello-

I am running the Accessibility Checker on one of my PDFs, an issue pops up under "Headings" where "Appropriate Nesting" fails. OK...easy fix. I expand the tree and right click the element, choose "Show in Tags Panel", I make the change from a "H4" to a "H1" header. Right click and select "Check Again" and it passes.

However, after I save the PDF, re-open, and run the checker again, the same issue arises. I've tried saving as and changing the PDF title, saving to a different location locally, and nothing seems to be working.

Hi Jcflash

We are sorry for the trouble. As decscribed the changes made to the PDF file are not retained.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat DC and make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try to make some othe rchanges like adding / removing some text, highlighting some text to this as well as other PDF document and then try saving the PDF file and check for the issue.

If you are on a Windows Machine, please try to repair the isntallation. Go to Help > Repair Installation and see if that makes anything better.

If it still doesn't work, please try  creating a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
