Converting a email signature from pdf to HTML

New Here ,
Jan 07, 2020 Jan 07, 2020

I've created an email signature in Canva that contains links and have downloaded it as a pdf.
Given I can't use the pdf (file type not supported) in Gmail, I was trying to convert it to HTML to then add as a signature but when I convert the file to HTML with Adobe DC, the format changes and the links don't work.
Any troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated!

You are going to need to make it in software designed for the task. Email is very picky about its HTML. You can probably export the graphic from Acrobat or Canvas, as PNG but the last stage is specialist.

Yes, I can export it as a PNG but none of the links will work.
What software do you recommend?

I see what you want to do, but unfortunately PDF doesn't come into your solution. For 25 years people have gone "I want to convert X to Y, but I can't do that. Wait! I can convert X to PDF, and PDF to Y, so the job is done". Unfortunately it never does.

PNG files can't contain links. You do need a special tool for making PDF email fragments, because it needs something not used anywhere else (inline graphics, just not used on web sites). Actually I'd suggest you give up on the idea of a graphic signature with links, because a large majority of people don't even see graphics in email - they are turned off. I suggest a simple logo, then a little text with links, the text making sense even without the logo.

Many thanks for the advice.

I've taken your suggestions onboard and have gone without the links.

Thanks for your help 🙂
