creating work instructions using 3D PDF

I would like to create manufacturing work instructions that utilize 3D PDF models. Can anyone guide me to some tutorials on how to go about this or any suggestions. I currently have Acrobat 9 Pro but will be upgrading soon.

My concept is to create a Fillable PDF form where you could click radio buttons and this would orient the model and display some text. In this way I could step through instructions as I add parts to the model building a final assembly.

Any help would be appreciated.
