Digitally Sign Document No Longer Works

Adobe Acrobat X Pro version 10.1.16.  I used to simply select Sign Document, create a marquee box at the desired location, and get a pop-up box showing my name with organization, unit, email.  After entering my password I also typically lock the document after signing.  Suddenly now, after clicking the Sign button, nothing further appears.  The area I marquee remains blank and my digital signature is not there.  Is this no longer supported in the lastest Windows 10 build 19042?  The digital signing had been working fine until just recently.

It's entirely possible that your luck just ran out, running antique software on systems that are constantly updated.
