Used to be able to drag thumbnail pages from a pdf as an attachment to an email in Outlook - really really useful. But had to reinstal Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and doesn't work now. Have to now extract pages, save then attach.

Thanks for all your help. Ended up uninstalling and then installing again, and now works. Don't know why suddenly dragging didn't work, but perhaps should have just done above right from start. Thanks though for ideas.

Hi Timo

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are now unable to drag and drop PDFs as an attachment to outlook.

What happens when you try to drag and drop the PDF to outlook as attachment? Do you get any error message? If yes please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.

A situation in which the drag and drop feature breaks is when you are using the outlook with Administrator permissions. Please make sure you are not running the Outlook as Administrator. Also, please check for any missing/pending update for Ms Outlook and try updating it and see if that helps.

Regards

Amal

Not logged on as administrator in outlook, as you queried; tried to drag page thumbnails in to the attachement or body copy areas of an opened email and still doesn't work. No error message, just thumbnails don't drop when you release mouse button.

Acrobat always a little variable in this, sometimes working other times not, but now stopped completely. Hope you can help Amal, really key function for me.

Thanks

Hi there

I am sorry for the delay in response. Please try to create a new test user profile in Windows or enable the root account in Mac with full admin rights and try using the application there and check.

Amal
