Drawing tool behaving erratically

I am using a Lenovo Yoga that allows me to use it like a tablet. When I try to write on PDFs using the drawing tool (using a Lenovo Pen) , the tool lags and doesn't allow me to write smoothly. Moreover, my writing comes out all wonky and indecipherable. Hence, I cannot use Adobe at all for writing on PDFs. What can I do to solve this issue?
