Edit properties for multiple form fields

New Here ,

I'm creating a fillable form from a Word doc. Many of the fields need to be renamed for clarity, and many fields will have the same properties (such as the tooltip, limit of X characters, and format as date or time). I cannot figure out a way to edit multiple fields at once.

For example: I selected five text fields so I could format them as dates. But the "Format" tab in the Text Field Properties dialogue box is not available when you select multiple text fields.

Am I going to have to edit the properties for each field one at a time?

Some properties can be set en-masse, others can not. The Format is in the latter group.

So yes, you would either need to do it manually, or you could use a script to do it, like this (paid-for) tool I've developed that allows you to do just that: http://try67.blogspot.com/2012/06/acrobat-apply-format-to-multiple-fields.html
