We have an internal customer that would like to occasionally edit some of our released PDF files (Engineering drawings) to make troubleshooting guides..
When a digital signature is applied, what specific restrictions are changed from "allowed" to "not allowed" and are effectivel "locked"?
I'm not able to find this in the help.

Content Copying for Accessibility
Page Extraction

Filling of Form Fields
Signing
Creation of Template Pages
*my guess, but would like to read more in the "help" if it's published.

It doesn't change any of those settings, but it effectively locks the file and prevents any further edits to it, except for filling in other form fields (including signing other Signature fields), IF it was set up not to lock them.

I suspect that "locked" really means changing these 2:
"Changing the Document"
"Document Assembly"
I'm telling our internal customer that he should be able to extract pages and create a copy.
Sure wish I could find this in the Help, straight from Adobe.

I just took an unsigned PDF and verified that all settings were allowed.
I then signed it, without checking the "Lock Document" box.
These were changed to "not allowed":
Changing the Document
Document Assembly
Signing does chage 2 settings.
My internal customer is happy (for now), because I told him that when he is unable to extract pages, to let me know.
I suspect there are some that are still clicking the "Lock Document" checkbox.
Does Adobe monitor this forum? Seems like this question must have come up before.
