Error 1722 during installation of Acrobat 2020, 20.001.30020

Hello,

 

I'm trying to distribute Adobe Acrobat 2020 Classic Track Update 20.001.30020 to several machines in my department.  Installing to Windows 10 Version 20H2.

 

I receive the following error message:

Error 1722.There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action InstallWebResources, location: c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2020\Acrobat\AcroCEF\AcroServicesUpdater.exe, command: 20.001.30020

 

I suspect Acrobat 2020 Classic Track needs to be updated in a manner similar to the recent updates to DC Acrobat and Reader.

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As descried you are getting the error 1722 during the installation of Adobe Acrobat.

 

Please check the steps suggested in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-1722--there-is-a-problem-with-this-windows-installer-packa.... and see if that works for you.

Thank you for the reply, yes I have seen those suggestions, they do not help.

Just a few more data points, taken from here:

The command I am having trouble with:

msiexec /i AcroPro.msi IGNOREVCRT64=1 /qn /norestart /le! Acrobat.LOG

This command works fine, but the 'save as' dialog does not function properly after installation:

msiexec /i AcroPro.msi IGNOREVCRT64=1 INSTALLUWPAPP=NO /qn /norestart /le! Acrobat.LOG

Note the addition of 'INSTALLUWPAPP=NO'.
