Error applying transforms, AcroCleaner fails

Acrobat Pro 2017, W10 pro. Latest update (October 2019) failed with error applying transforms. Tried to repair acrobat pro 2017 using control panel, failed due to transforms error. Tried to uninstall but failed on transform error. Searched the forum, downloaded AcroCleaner_DC2015. Ran the program, it failed (not responding) left running for about 10 minutes. Used task manager to stop program (notice to microsoft then closed). Tried to run again, same result.

Parts of acrobat seem to be gone, but installer will not install due to transform error.

Suggestions anyone?

Forgot to include tried to have acrobat repair itself before trying add/remove control panel repair. It failed on transform error.

Please install all the latest and mandatory updates of the Operating system installed, check for any pending updates of the OS, install them, reboot the machine and try updating Adobe Reader again.

Thise things were done, but not a godd result.
