Hello

Trying to install Acrobat DC after upgrading to Catalina. Was previously using Acrobat XI Pro without issue.

We have a full Creative Cloud subscription and 9 other machines, using this without a problem.

Tried several times and installation fails with the Error Code 136.

Any help, greatly appreciated.

Hi Tom,

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble caused. As described you are not able to install Acrobat DC and getting the error 136

What are the steps you are doing to install the application? Please reboot the computer once and try again to install the Acrobat DC and check.

If it still doesn't work, please run the Acrobat Cleaner Tool https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html  , reboot the computer once and try installing the application using the link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Thanks for the reply.

Yesterday I spoke to members of the Adobe Support. They shared my computer and went through the steps you mention above. Tried the Acrobat cleaner. Tried removing all Adobe apps and creative cloud and cleaning. Also tried directly installing Acrobat.

None of these worked.

Now they have collected the Adobe Logs and I'm waiting to hear back.

All apps are working, except Acrobat. As I've had to upgrade to Catalina 10.15.7 (For business email) I cannot use an older version of Acrobat as they're not compatible.

Not sure where this leaves me other than looking for another pdf application.
