Just signed up for the free 7 day trial for Acrobat and its not the best of starts.

Trying to install Acrobat DC and about 30% of the way in it pops up with the message

"Conflict installing Acrobat DC - Close your work and save the following programs before continuing. Learn More."   It lists Microsoft excel.  Excel is not open.  I click on the "learn more" and it tells me to close the program that is causing the conflict -

Ive restarted the PC and tried again however exactly the same issue.

Any ideas?

Hi Neil

We are sorry for the trouble. As described you re unable to install the DC as it tells you to close the excel.

Please refer  to the steps provided in a similar discussion listed below and see if that works for you:

1. https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/conflict-installing-acrobat-dc/td-p/11035473?page=1

2. https://community.adobe.com/t5/enterprise-teams/software-quot-conflict-quot-when-downloading-acrobat...

You may also take a look at the steps provided in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-close-following-applications-continue.html

Let us know how it goes

Regards
