Hello all,

I tried to convert a PDF with a lot of data on one page, in fact also very small letter size.

Unfotunately the result was either not separated in Excel cells or even not converted at all.

Does anyone know if there are any limitations, specifications for an successfull conversion:

e.g.:

Format: Letter size, A4,...

Letter size: > 10

Maximum amount of  Pages: 100,...

I am using Adobe Acrobat Standard on Version 2020.013.20074.

Thanks for the help !!!

Can you tell us exactly what technique you are using to convert the PDF to Excel?  You can use the Export command from the File menu, or you can even select the table (if it is a table), and right-click to initiate the process.  I rarely believe that I get a reasonable Excel sheet with most conversion attempts initially, and nearly always have to spend some time cleaning things up in Excel.  Still, it beats retyping the data.

My best,

Dave

Give this method a try, if applicable to your page.  Use the selection tool to select the table data, and right click on the selection.  Choose Export Selection As... and choose Excel spreadsheet.

Maybe a different approach will make the difference?  Won't know until you try.  Good luck.

Hello Dave,

Thanks for the suggestion above.

I tried it, but unfortunately the result is the same.

Could you provide any technical specifications for this feature when it is working and when not?

Would be extremly valueable.

Thanks in advance!
