Fill & Sign causes mouse problems

I have some users that after using the Acrobat Reader “Fill & Sign” feature find that their mouse becomes unresponsive. Sometimes to the point that they must force power off the laptop and then restart.

Since the Fill & Sign uses mouse hover events to work, I believe that the issues could be related. So the things in common seem to be:

  • Windows 10
  • Laptops with both touch pad and wireless mouse
  • Acrobat Reader and a Fill & Sign PDF file

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi Jbrown

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the mouse becomes unresponsive after using fill and sign in Adobe Acrobat Reader

We tried to reproduce the issue on our end and its working fine.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Reader the users are using? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat Reader and make sure they have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates.

If the file is stored on a shared  network/drive, please try to download the file locally to the comouter and then try to fill and sign using Acrobat Reader and check.

Also please check for any missing /pending updates for Windows 10 and try updating them and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
