Fillable PDF opened in browser, not displaying properly in Adobe DC

I created a fillable pdf in adobe and saved it on my computer. I would email this fillable pdf to people and they would fill it out and email it back. To view, I would download the pdf. I can either automatically open the pdf on the browser (I use google chrome) and this displays all the filled fields correctly. Or, if I go to finder, and request to open via Adobe, fields and answers are missing.

I'm not sure why this happens, and how to fix.

Thank you in advance!

It's most likely caused by the PDF application(s) used by your users. Instruct them to only open the file in Adobe Acrobat or Reader, not in a browser window or Apple Preview or any other such application.

Hi Samantha

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

Web browsers use their own PDF mechanism to display and render the PDF content and they are not Adobe dependant.

Please ask the user to download the PDF file to their computer first and then fill it using Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC and send them back to you.

Regards

Amal
