Form field won't allow outline in properties

I'm trying to add a border to my form field under properties but the selections for line thickness and line style are gray and when I select a color for the border it won't allow to change from transparent.

Any idea what to do? I googled and it seems I'm doing it right to go to properties > appearance. I'm at the end of my rope.

Also, the form field is not locked.

I am getting the same issue.  Was this resolved for you?

Somehow it just started letting me uncheck transparent. Just make sure that it is the first step and you choose the line color before it'll let you choose line thickness and style.

If it persists in now allowing you to uncheck transparent first, you may want to reinstall the app.
