I am experiencing an issue where form fields do not show up and are no longer fillable after one of two signatories has signed their part. I require the fields to be filled by the second signatory, but now they don't appear anymore. When I click the Prepare Form menu, however, they show up fine. As soon as I exit it, they disappear.
I have set signature fields to lock (from pick fields) after they are signed, but no other fields are locked/restricted.
The document has password-security that allows for filling fields, commenting, signing, and printing.
Any advice is appreciated.

The field are there, you do not need to recreate them. It may be that all you need to do is to change the field visibility or readonly property. Can you post the form, or a screenshot of the "General" tab on the field properties dialog?

Is this an AcroForm? or a Fill & Sign Form?
It sounds like you have a regular form. If so then having a second signature field might not do you much good.
Does this second signature field have a different field name from the second?
But regardless, not fillable and not showing up are two different things. Is it problem with field visibility or the field being locked? One way to test this is to add a border to the field so you can tell the difference. Or put some data in a few fields before signing.

Thanks so much for your reply!
The fields are now neither visible nor fillable. I thought I would simply recreate them, but when I attempted to in Prepare Form, all showed up just fine (I am linking screenshots of the difference I see).
I'm also including a screenshot of document and signature field permissions.
My fields have separate names.
Thanks again!

Oh my goodness! Yes, when I click on the properties, it looks like all fields have been converted to "Read Only"!
While this makes no sense to me whatsoever, it's certainly fixable. Thanks for pointing out the obvious 🙂 I appreciate it.

No Worries. There are a lot of confusing bits in Acobat Forms. You just have to get used to it 😉
