Group (combine) pages within PDF Document

Guest

Several years ago I received a PDF doc that included... how should I say, bundled / grouped pages within the main document... document within a document.  At that time I needed to extract the grouped pages (forgot how I did that). Now however, I would like to group (combine / bundle) pages within a PDF document to make a "sub-document" - is this possible?  Thanks in Advance!

Hello jsborg,

It seems like you were either working on PDF Portfolios or the PDF files were attached to the document.

If you were working with PDF Portfolios you will see an option to Extract document from the PDF file.

In case you the document have other documents as attachments, you can see these document on the right hand side of the screen here you need to look for an icon that looks like an Attachment logo, if you are not able to see it, it might be disabled. In order to show it you can right

Are you maybe referring to Bookmarks? It's not really a grouping of pages, but it's the closest I can think of to what you're describing...

Hi Try67 - thanks for the suggestion but what I'm trying to do / understand wasn't accomplished with bookmarks.  Regards.

In that case you'll need to share one such file with us, as it's not very clear what you're referring to...

Hi Utkarsh Negi - thanks for the input.  I do not have experience with Portfolios or Attachments in PDF docs.  I briefly looked into these and think you are right - one of these methods must have been used.  I'm dreaming of a way to easily group pages in a PDF doc - say you have 10 pages that require frequent reference and 10 that do not.  I would like to group the 10 not so frequently referenced pages into a "folder" or "group" or "hide" without removing them from the document.  It would also be nice to add or subtract pages from said "folder" or "group"... depending on changing needs.  Anyway, thanks again.
