Header not displaying

New Here ,
Apr 13, 2018 Apr 13, 2018

Okay, I have a scanned multi paged document.   I want to add a header to all pages.    I get that far and I can see the header when done.   After saving and closing the document.    the header doesn't appear any more.   When I print the document the header is there, if I open the document for editing  the header is also seen.   but if  open in Viewer or upload the pdf into another program the header does not show.

All I need to do is add a small amount of identical text to all pages in my PDF.    so if not with the Header Tool how else can I add text to all pages in one simple step.   there must to be a way to do this.

If you open the file in a non-Adobe application there are no guarantees as to how it's going to display.

If you want to increase the chances of your header showing up you should flatten the file (using this tool, for example: UVSAR : Selective Flattener tool for Adobe Acrobat 8, 9 and X ). Note that once you do that you won't be able to edit or remove the header text so easily, so it might be a good idea to save it under a new name once you've flattened it.

I’ve had the same issue—headers not showing in viewers but printing fine. Sounds like the tool adds it as a non-visible layer. For something permanent, I used a stamp or watermark tool instead. Worked great when labeling files like "Car Parking docs".
