Help Regarding Application Error - Adobe Acrobat

Hello, everyone!!!

I cannot open my pdf files using Adobe Reader. When I try to open a file, it shows the message, "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000003e). Click Ok to close the application". I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, but couldn't fix the issue. 

It would be of great help if you can help me in this regard.
