We kept having people use the Adobe PDF printer to make PDFs and it would fail because they didn't have a license for Acrobat Pro. They should be using the Microsoft PDF printer. So we changed the name for the Adobe PDF printer for most users to use the MS printer for PDFs and we have had no problems and it works for about 10 people who have a license for Acrobat Pro DC, but we have about 4 users that it does not work for and get the error below and they are licensed as well for Acrobat Pro DC. They login to the same computers, have the same permissions and profile setups. I'm thinking it's a registery setting some where?
The users get the following error when using the combine feature to combine word, excel or ppt files into a single PDF.
The ones having the problem get the following error:
Other info:
If I mount the share and let it repair it fixes the issue. If the user logs out, logs back in, they get the error again. So it doesn't seem to be a profile problem as whatever the repair is doing doesn't follow them and other people work fine.
Yea yea, it's probably bad to rename printer to something different than Adobe PDF. But there must be a solution and guessing it's a registry problem.
Any help appreciated!
