Helvetica copyright

Good day:

I've just been told that I should not be using Helvetica in my form text fields do to copyright issues.

I work for a provincial government in Canada so perhaps this issue is more relevant to us.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Acrobat and Reader use a private version of Arial when Helvetica is specified. Other PDF viewers might use something else. But what you've been told doesn't sound correct.
