Hieroglyphics on unsolicited print outs

My printer is all of a sudden printing out text that looks like hieroglyphics, just a few characters, and it's unsolicited. I thought at first they were faxes, but I unplugged the phone line, and they still come. Again, this happens when I am away for my computer, having not tried to print anything. You are posting this in the Adobe Acrobat community. What makes you believe that Acrobat has anything to do with this? I've been running Adobe Acrobat for more than 20 years, and I've never seen (or heard of) such a "side effect" of Acrobat (or the free Reader), so I would assume that this has nothing to do with Acrobat. Have you run a virus scan lately on your computer?
