hot key for highlighting

Hi, 

is there a hotkey for highlighting text in Adobe Reader Pro. 

Shift+U does just make a line through.

This looks like a bug in the products ( both Acrobat and Reader) as the tooltip says that "u" ( assuming you have single key shortcuts enabled) should highlight text but it causes an strike through.
