How do I adjust the size of an Adobe PDF document?

Hello,

I am an illustrator and am needing to adjust the size of a PDF (book cover) in Adobe DC.

I am able to open the drawing in Photoshop, adjust the image to the appropriate size and save it as a PDF. However, when I open the PDF in Adobe DC, the size of the image has changed to 11.0 x 8.5.

I am trying to submit this cover to Kindle Direct Publishing and a regular Adobe PDF is the required file type. How do I open this PDF and change the size to the necessay dimenstions of 17.351 x 8.750?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you want to customize the PDF page size to 17.351 x 8.750

Please try the steps below:

- Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat DC

- Go to Print > Select Adobe PDF in the Printer list.

- Click on 'Properties' tab

- Under 'Adobe PDF settings', click 'Add' Next to Adobe PDF page size and enter the page dimension and the units and save the setting with a new page name so that you can recognize it after words and click on Add/modify and click OK to exit the window.

- In the Print window of Acrobat DC Click on 'Page Setup' in the lower left corner and from the size dropdown list locate your settings page (The one that you named earlier) and click OK and print

- It will recreate the PDF with the custom page size.

Hello,

I tried to follow these steps, but do not see Adobe PDF in the printer
list. What do I do?

Hi there,

We are sorry to hear that. The above steps would work for Windows OS only, If you are using the Mac OS the above steps wont work as the PDF printer is not available in Mac OS.

For Mac OS, please try the steps provided in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/Change-PDF-page-size-in-MAC.html and see if that works for you.
